Be still

Be Still Read: Psalm 46 Focus verse: “Be still, and know that I am God; (10a) Our Bible reading today suggests that God wants us to be ‘Still’ even more than we want it ourselves. Psalm 46 begins with a promise that God will protect us in the hardest times; “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble”. And it ends with a forceful command to be still. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. “The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. These verses are very comforting especially when we are going through difficult times in our lives. He is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help. When we find ourselves doing too many things that take us away from our times with God or family, or when we worry about the pressures of life; we skipped from one diversion to the next, we allow noise, hurry, and confusion to seep into our lives. God is saying to us “Be Sti...

I Am God's Best

"I Am God's Best" Psalm 139:14 (NIV) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. Youth, in today’s devotion let us dive into the assurance of your identity in Christ. The theme is a powerful declaration: "I Am God's Best." Let's ground ourselves in Scripture as we explore the profound truth that each one of you is fearfully and wonderfully made. The Psalmist declares: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well." Let us consider the magnitude of these words. The Creator of the universe intricately designed you, intentionally shaped every aspect of your being. The term "fearfully and wonderfully made" speaks not only to the complexity of our physical bodies but also to the uniqueness of your personalities, talents, and purpose. To God, you are His best. God doesn’t make any creation that is inferior. T...

The Majesty Of Creation

The Majesty of Creation   Scripture: Psalm 19:1 (NIV) -  " The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."   Celebrations were observed across the United States of America on July 4 with fireworks, confetti, food, and dance. I joined hundreds of people who left their homes to observe this spectacular event. Fireworks are known for their stunning visual displays, vibrant colors, and intricate patterns in the night sky. They create a sense of awe and wonder, captivating both children and adults alike.   As I observed the breathtaking beauty and intricate patterns of the fireworks, it evoked a sense of wonder and awe. Psalms 19:1 came to mind, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." I see it as a reflection of the creative power and artistry of God. I saw the fireworks as a small glimpse of the immense beauty and complexity found in God’s created world.   When we lo...
