Finding Strength in God's Promise 1 Peter 5:10 (NLT) In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. Life often brings struggles, pain, and challenges that leave us feeling broken and weary. In those moments, it is important to remember God’s promise to us, as is stated in 1 Peter 5:10 (NLT). God, in His kindness, has called us to share in His eternal glory through Jesus. Though trials may come, they are not the end of our story. This verse reassures us that suffering is temporary, ( " a little while") compared to the eternal glory we will share with Christ.   Woman Claim Your Voice Proverbs 31:26 (NIV) “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” It takes courage to find your voice, especially when you have suffered in silence. Bathsheba was such a woman. The Bible tells her story she could have stayed quiet, chosen to be hidden, and suffering in silence. Instead, she spoke up, and by finding her voice, she changed history. When we read about Bathsheba in 2 Samuel, we might think of her as voiceless. (2 Samuel 11-12) For so much of her story, she was battered by the voices of the powerful. Taken by messengers just after bathing. Losing her first husband at a king’s word and a general’s order. Married to that same king upon his demand, lost her child. She suffered more than most women could bear. Bathsheba did not remain voiceless; she had a decision to make, the same each of us has when we face pain.
