Finding Strength in Temptation

Finding Strength in Temptation 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT) "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure."   Temptation is a part of life; it is something we all face. It does not go away just because you follow Christ. Whether it is the temptation to lie, cheat, gossip, or give in to peer pressure, it can feel overwhelming. But God wants you to know that you are never alone in this struggle. It is easy to feel isolated in these moments, thinking that no one could possibly understand. 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us a different story: your struggles are not unique, and you are not alone.   God does not leave you alone when you are faced with temptation. Instead, He is faithful and right there with you, ready to help you overcome. He knows your limits and promises that you will never face a...

A New Heart

"A New Heart: Embracing God's Transformative Power"   Ezekiel 36:26 (NLT) And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. [ a ]   We are living in a world where we are constantly expose to violence, injustice and negative news. People have become less concerned about the suffering of others. It is easy to become discouraged or cynical when we witness the prevalence of wrongdoing, injustice, and the absence of love in the world. As we live in a world filled with all this violence, we often find our hearts hardened by the trials we face, the mistakes we make, or the burdens we carry. This hardness can distance us from experiencing the fullness of God's love and purpose for our lives. However, Ezekiel 36:26 offers a profound promise: God desires to transform us from the inside out, replacing our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh. This verse challenges us to...

A Path Through The Wilderness

A Path Through The Wilderness Isaiah 43:19 (NLT) "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Sometimes, life can feel like a dry desert or a confusing wilderness. The wilderness is often symbolic of uncertainty, confusion, and difficulty. It represents seasons in our lives where we feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed. We get stuck in routines, past mistakes, or fear of the unknown. But God promises something powerful in Isaiah 43:19, He is doing something new! Even when it feels like everything is stagnant or hopeless, God is actively at work in our lives, creating pathways in the wilderness and bringing life-giving rivers to our dry places. When you feel stuck, remember that God is already working on your behalf. When God says He will make a pathway through the wilderness, He is assuring us that no matter how desolate or impossible our situati...

Living Intentionally

Living Intentionally 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us that no matter what we eat or drink, or whatever we do, to live our lives in a way that honors God and glorifies Him. Life is full of choices, from small decisions like what to eat, to bigger decisions like how we spend our time, who we hang out with, and what goals we pursue. As followers of Jesus, you are called to live intentionally, making choices that reflect your faith and bring glory to God Living intentionally means to walk in surrender to the Holy Spirit. This verse is not talking about being overly strict with your food and drink choices, although we are called to take care of our bodies in what we eat. It calls you to be mindful of your everyday life decisions, make sure you are being guided by the Holy Spirit and not the flesh. It is easy to live, just going through the motions wit...

" God’s Timing:” The Divine Mercy in Loss

" God’s Timing:” The Divine Mercy in Loss Isaiah 57:1 (NIV) "The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil." In Isaiah 51:1 Isaiah declares the fate of the righteous, they perish, and it goes unnoticed or misunderstood by people. We often mourn the loss of the righteous without realizing that their departure might be a merciful act from God. He spares them from future evils and suffering that they might otherwise endure. In life’s journey there are times when the events around us seem to challenge our understanding. One such perplexing event is the untimely passing of those who live righteously. Isaiah 57:1 provides a profound insight into God’s wisdom and timing, reminding us that there is a greater purpose behind what we perceive as loss. My own experience is the untimely passing of one of my most precious gift from God, my eighteen-year-old so...
