Anchored in Hope

Anchored in Hope: Finding Encouragement in the Lord   Romans 15:13   "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."   In this devotional I would like to share with you on the hope we have in Jesus Christ. When the waters of life get rough, or when we can’t see the shore, let our hope in Jesus be the anchor for our souls.   In times of difficulty and uncertainty, we often find ourselves in need of hope and encouragement. In this devotion, we will explore how we can anchor our souls in the hope found in God and draw strength and encouragement from Him.   Romans 15:13 tells us that the God of hope fills us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him, so that we may overflow with hope by the pow...

Living A Life Of Meekness

Living A Life Of Meekness "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." - Colossians 3:12 We belong to Christ, and the apostle Paul is encouraging those who follow Him to live the life that He has made possible for us to live. We must put on the character of Christ daily. Paul not just encouraged the believers, but he is praying for us that Christ would indeed be our life, now, tomorrow and in all these ways. The world look at us when we display meekness in how we treat others as weakness. In the Bible, Jesus is often described as gentle, and yet He was one of the strongest and most influential figures in history. He demonstrated gentleness through His compassion for the weak and His willin...

Poem : "The Call"

It was a hot and sunny summer day; I locked myself away no work for me today One hour, two hours has past I wondered how long this would last I sat on the floor picked up a leaf and began to read it very fast It was a psalm of David which speaks of his horrible sin, deep distress and agony Suddenly I realized it was my own sin, deep distress and agony that had me locked away I then began to understand that on the cross Jesus was made the target of that same agony for my sins not his own Understanding the agony helps me to understand something of the greatness of His love that sends Him to the cross – for me This day in the stillness of the room I heard a call; It was a mighty powerful voice that calls me by my name; but then I thought could this be my brother’s game I ran to the window but no one was there, I looked up above the sky was as clear as the ocean Then I heard that call again, with tones so still and so clear. It draws with power yet sweet and unknown. My heart began t...
