"On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand" Isaiah 26:4 (NIV)   "Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal."   In the midst of life's storms, uncertainties, and trials, Isaiah 26:4 offers a profound reassurance: "Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal." This powerful verse beckons us to place our unwavering trust in God, who is our eternal and unchanging foundation.   The imagery of God as "the Rock" is rich and has many different aspects. A rock signifies strength, stability, and permanence. Unlike shifting sands or unstable ground, a rock provides a solid foundation upon which we can stand with confidence. Quoting my five-year-old granddaughter “A rock is something if you stand on it, it won’t break.” Her saying reminds me of the hymn, "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less," particularly the chorus: On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking...

Embracing God's Call in Your Christian Journey Philippians 2:13 (NLT) "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him."   Being called to serve God early in your Christian life is a profound privilege and responsibility. It can be both exciting and intimidating to feel God's tug on your heart as you begin your journey with Him. At the age of seventeen I surrendered my life to Christ; in a few months I felt the tug of God on my heart. Joshua, newly appointed as leader of the Israelites, is about to embark on the enormous task of leading God’s people into the Promised Land. God commission Joshua to "be strong and courageous" it is paired with a comforting promise: "for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."   Pour Out Your Heart To Him Psalm 62:8 (NKJV)   Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.   In Psalm 62:8 David calls us to pour out our hearts before God.
