Guided by God

Guided by God Psalm 32:8 (NLT) The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 is an encouraging promise that we cannot ignore or disregard, for God has taken it upon Himself to personally teach us the wise and righteous path we must take in life journey. I like the AMP version it says, “I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you”. Very early in my Christian journey I made a commitment to follow God's guidance wholeheartedly. I had a desire to chose His will and trust that His leading would bring fulfilment and purpose to my life. I encourage you to reflect on the words of Psalm 32:8, allow it to penetrate your heart, nurturing a deep connection with the guiding presence of God on your journey. The verse begins with the declaration that God will instruct and teach you. This is a personalized, intentional guidance that God provides. It is an invitation to be open to His direction ...

Joy Comes In The Morning

Joy Comes In The Morning Psalm 30:5 For His anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning . Psalm 30:5 is a source of encouragement and hope, emphasizing that even in times of difficulty and sorrow, there is the promise of joy and favor from God that comes with a new day. It reminds us that troubles are temporary, and a brighter future awaits. Many people, including myself, find comfort and inspiration in this verse.   It is a source of strength and motivation during challenging times. It encourages us to hold on to faith and trust that better days are ahead. Have you ever experienced a difficult night, a season of sorrow, or a time when everything seemed bleak? It's during these moments that the promise of joy coming in the morning can be a powerful source of hope and encouragement. It reminds us that even when we face challenges, setbacks, or moments of despair, God's favor and joy ...

Walking with God in Unbroken Fellowship

Walking with God in Unbroken Fellowship Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV) "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7 sets the foundation for a life centered around Christ. It calls us to maintain an ongoing, active relationship with Christ. It is not a decision that we make once but a continual journey of living in agreement with His teachings. Hebrew 11:7 tells us that Noah lived a righteous life and walked closely with God, who revealed His plans to him. The key to Noah’s success was his unwavering faith in God and his unbroken fellowship with Him. As believers, we too need to keep near to God to hear His still small voice and discern His plans for us. Walking in unbroken fellowship with Him brings us the happiest experience in life. Through our obedience to Him, we can also become instruments of His savi...

Finding Peace When Storms Roll In

"Finding Peace When Storms Roll In" Isaiah 12:2 (KJV)   Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.     My life has been filled with uncertainties, much like a storm that suddenly rolls in, bringing challenges, turmoil, and moments of fear. In these turbulent times, Isaiah 12:2 stands as a beacon of hope and assurance. It reminds me that, despite the storms that may surround me, I have a source of unwavering strength, trust, and salvation in God.   On my journey of life, I found God as my ultimate source of salvation, This speaks to the redemptive and liberating power of God in my live. He is the anchor that holds me steady amidst life difficulties. When the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us, Isaiah's words call us to look beyond the chaos and fix our gaze on the Lord. Reflecting on Isaiah 12:2 leads me to consider the various ways in which God ...

Facing Life's Challenges

Facing Life’s Challenges 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NIV) Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." When King Jehoshaphat learned that three armies were joining forces to invade Judah, he was rightfully afraid. He didn’t know what to do, but his next steps are a great example for all of us.   He assembled the people and prayed “Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you (2 Chronicles 20:6). And verse 9, "If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us." These verses reflect  the commitment of the people of Judah to turn to God in times of trouble. The...

When My Heart Is overwhelmed

Psalm 61:2 (NLT) From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety. Our world is fallen and tainted by sin, and no amount of manmade goodness can cover the stain of evil that has scarred mankind. On days when it seems that the whole world is against you, that sense of loneliness and grief can be pretty overwhelming. However, know that your loneliness and grief is not misplaced. God wants to hear the deepest cries of your heart at all times, and if your heart is only capable of producing tears, God will take that honesty. Always remember that God not only wants to hear our cries, but He also wants to heal our cries. He wants to carve out the broken places in our lives, soothe them with His healing presence, and replace them with more of Himself. Only by inviting God into your hurt can you experience a peace that passes all human understanding, regardless of what is happening around you. Always be willing to...
