  Rejoice In God’s Strength Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” In Chapter 8 of Nehemiah the Law of the Lord was read, when the people heard the word of God they were sadden. Nehemiah encouraged them that such sadness of heart was not necessary. Instead, he said, “Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared.” (Nehemiah 8:10). He encouraged them to find their strength in the joy of the Lord, to express generosity, celebrate God's goodness, and embrace a holy and joyful perspective in their lives.   "A Cry in the Storm" Psalm 107:28 (NLT) “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! Life is filled with storms: unexpected challenges, trials, and difficulties that threaten to overwhelm us. In the midst of these storms, it's easy to feel lost and powerless. Psalm 107:28 captures a universal truth: in times of trouble, the natural response is to cry out for help. In verses 25-29 it states that sailors were helpless in the storm. They had no control over the movements of their ship. But they “cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.” They could not rely on their own strength, but they trusted in the power of the Lord. Psalm 32:8 is an encouraging promise that we cannot ignore or disregard, for God has taken it upon Himself to personally teach us the wise and righteous path we must take in life journey. I like the AMP version it says, “I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you”. Very early in my Christian journey I made a commitment to follow God's guidance wholeheartedly. I had a desire to chose His will and trust that His leading would bring fulfilment and purpose to my life. I encourage you to reflect on the words of Psalm 32:8, allow it to penetrate your heart, nurturing a deep connection with the guiding presence of God on your journey.
